Driftwood Shed is a rustic wedding venue that is full of quirky styling elements and is full of character to bring a unique look & setting to your South Coast wedding. Driftwood Shed is a South Coast wedding venue, located on the banks of the Shoalhaven River in Terara, just outside of Nowra on the NSW South Coast, approximately a 2 hour drive south of Sydney CBD. Driftwood Shed is a very popular venue for South Coast weddings, and it’s not hard to see why! Situated on 5 acres, it truly encapsulates the essence of the South Coast, with country landscapes meeting the water, and is a DIY wedding venue allowing couple’s to bring their own customisation and flair to their plans in regards to styling & catering.

Driftwood Shed holds approximately 100 guests in the large white marquee (that comes included in your venue hire) perfect for your wedding reception. Driftwood Shed has a self-contained cabin on site that sleeps up to 6 persons, and a rustic 100 year old barn/shed filled with old, quaint wares. The rustic wedding venue showcases mountain views, beautiful gardens and screams country charm, making Driftwood Shed the perfect venue for a relaxed country wedding on the NSW South Coast.

I love Driftwood Shed, as the rustic venue has the perfect layout of space options (both ceremony & reception can be held on site) & also so close in proximity, it’s always a pleasure to photograph weddings here and it’s undeniably one of our favourite South Coast wedding venues!

The South Coast is such a beautiful & relaxing part of NSW. From the border with Wollongong kicking off with Kiama and Gerringong, and tracing down through Berry, to Nowra, encompassing Kangaroo Valley, Terara & Pyree. Continuing on to Jervis Bay, Vincentia, Huskisson and Sussex Inlet and furthering to Milton & Ulladulla. We also capture weddings & elopements on the Far South Coast, including Batemans Bay, Narooma, Moruya, Merimbula, Pambula, Eden, Tathra and onto Bega. The Far South Coast, and the entire South Coast in general holds a special place to us having grown up in Wollongong, a trip down the South Coast was a popular getaway or holiday growing up.

For elopements and intimate weddings, Driftwood Shed caters for smaller celebrations also. Whatever the scale of your wedding, from an intimate elopement, to large-scale wedding - Driftwood Shed is a South Coast wedding venue not to be overlooked!

Our Approach

The walls of awkwardness come down the minute our session begins, regardless of whether it be a wedding, intimate adventurous elopement, family memories or parents expecting or cherishing their new arrival.

We want for your memories to live on for generations, to showcase the time capsule that those moments in time are, full of the love and vibrancy. We want your children, and their children, to be able to be taken back to those moments and empathise with the emotions shared. Rather than fading, these moments will grow with you and continue to be a part of the story that is your lives.

We absolutely love shooting weddings at Driftwood Shed, arriving as the photographer and leaving as someone whom you feel you’ve known for years.
